Born and raised in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina, Kristin Vartanian Dills took to art as soon as she could hold a pen. Her parents fostered her blossoming talent and enrolled her in private lessons with Monart Drawing School, where she was taught by Jillian Goldberg and Mona Brooks. At age 10, one of her pieces had been selected for print on the Charlotte Ballet's Nutcracker promotional materials- sent out to thousands of local Charlotteans homes.

She attended the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts- Design Concentration. This included a broad range of studies, including digital design, metal sculpture and forge work— along with more traditional art practices like drawing, painting, and sculpture. One of her large scale oil paintings was selected by a panel of local artists to be exhibited in the Weatherspoon Art Museum on the UNCG campus for a month, in an adjacent gallery to pieces by Monet and VanGogh.

Years later while expecting her first child, Kristin began to create a series of animal portraits titled the "Dapper Animal" series, to be hung in her sons nursery. These pieces went on to be hand selected out of thousands to be sold online by Minted and Pottery Barn Kids. "Dapper Giraffe" and "Dapper Zebra" are currently available through catalog orders and online.

Currently, Kristin has plans for the expansion of the series, to include an elephant, cheetah, and other wildlife- in addition to a more dainty, pink themed line called the “Darling Animal“ series.

At the end of what was a life altering 2020, Kristin was approached to take a skills test to become a Louis Vuitton Artisan- and successfully passed. She is one of less than 10 Artisans in the United States, and acts as an official artist for the brand- tasked with painting custom artwork for LV clients on their hardsided luggage and trunks.
